ABOUT ME:

I earned my Juris Doctorate from The American University, Washington College of Law and my BA from Tulane University, Newcomb College. Licensed to practice law in both Maryland and D.C., I practiced family law for seventeen years at a highly regarded family law firm in Maryland. During that time, I handled contentious custody and child support cases, as well as cases involving complex property and alimony issues. However, when settlement was in my client’s best interest, I was often able to negotiate an amicable resolution. However, when necessary, I was prepared to litigate and have appeared before trial and appellate judges. After the law firm closed, I continued to stay informed and up to date on family law issues by working as a legal consultant and legal blog curator.

As a family law attorney, I witnessed first hand the emotional and financial devastation a divorce can reap upon a family. After the law firm closed, I continued to guide friends and family through the difficult and challenging divorce process. Believing that every person experiencing divorce should have access to a personal confidant to help guide and support them through the challenges of separation and divorce, I decided to pursue a formal divorce coaching certification.

I obtained my divorce coaching certification through the CDC College for Divorce Coaching®. I completed a 16 week intensive program with instruction from certified coaches, attorneys, therapists, financial advisors, mediators, and child/parenting counselors. As part of the program I participated in 6 weeks of Mentor Coaching, as well as 4 weeks of Peer Coaching. As the owner of Potomac Coaching, LLC, I work with clients all over the country providing personal divorce guidance and support; helping them navigate the challenges of separation, divorce, and life after divorce while transforming their divorce experience.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, working out, baking, reading, and volunteering.
